Reuse It

Ways to reuse things....

Jars...

I reuse almost everyjar in my house,I use mayo jars to put tuna sald for my husband to take to work or us to beach. I use salsa jars for same thing and for  storing homemade bath salts.

I use the big dill pickle jars to store sugar and flour, and the smaller ones to store salt, baking powder,etc-it keeps the bugs out of them. I decorate my jars beforehand, You can get some idea's in my craft photo gallery.

Use then as vases, wash them out and paint them, put white smooth pebbles/rocks in bottom and then cover stems-flowers last alot longer.
In the summertime we use canning jars as glasses for lemonaide.
Baby food jars are perfect for tealight candles.
I use pasta sauce jars and others to store leftovers, usually for my vegies.

Stryofoam:

Styrofoam is such a menace- it doesn't do any good for the earth, she is littered with it.I refuse to throw it away,so I had to come up wih ways to use it-(I am guilty of loving dunkin donuts coffee.) Here are a few ways:

Cups: I reuse these constantly, I wash them out and reuse them as cups for outdoor nights, lunches, picinics etc. I also wash them and paint them and use them as craft containers- I put them in a small shoe organizer for kids crayons, pencils, school supplies.etc. Wrap packing tape around them and you have molds for sand castles, mud cakes, etc.

Meat Trays: I wash and bleach these and use them for anything from picture frames in crafts,to paint holders for mixing  finger paints, trays for playing "resteruant" ,as well as  trays for french fries and hot dogs. I use them to sort my rocks, then again I use EVERYTHING for my rocks.
